Will was one of the first three original pirates weeks 1 and 2 of 2005, besides Karissa and Dave. When he showed up as a pirate, Dave assumed that Karissa had invited him to join the crew. Karissa had also assumed that Dave had invited him to join the crew. It turned out that neither had invited him, he just wanted to be a pirate. This gave him a very special standing in our crew. Furthermore, he converted his rental bicycle into our very first pirate ship. And finally, he added great spirit to our renditions of "What do you do with a drunken sailor?" when he got pirate-drunk on week 4 and had to be carted back home.
